EOC Interface

Overview

management functions. Attributes associated with an object describe its properties. Some attributes can be modified by services on the EOC interface, while others can only be read.

Services on the EOC consist of Actions, Commands, and Notifications.

￿Actions are used to manage objects representing network elements and their functions. For example, you might remove or restore an Analog Line Termination. Tables in the following paragraphs show which actions the Access Navigator supports.

￿Commands are used to manage the attributes or properties of each managed object. There are four basic commands: create, get, set, and delete. Not all commands are used with each object and attribute. Tables in the following paragraphs list the objects and attributes that can be managed in the Access Navigator.

￿Notifications in the Access Navigator are limited to event reporting, such as sending an Event Report Notification message to indicate a service problem. Tables in the following paragraphs show which notification events the Access Navigator supports.
