Reset All

CAUTION! THE RESET ALLCOMMAND WILL INTERRUPT SERVICE FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS. DCS CROSSCONNECTS WILL BE RESTORED. GR-303CROSSCONNECTS WILL BE LOST.

Purpose: Produces a soft reset of both Controller cards. It is equivalent to a hard reset, in which the Access Navigator is powered off and on again. The entire process takes about 30 seconds.

Security: Level 2 (operator)

Syntax: reset all

The reset all command has the following effects:

￿Resets both Controller cards.

￿Erases all RAM data, including the GR-303 crossconnects, status, event log, time, and date.

￿Does not affect provisioning and other settings stored in flash memory.

￿Upon restart, provisioning and other settings are restored.

￿Upon restart, the clock starts at time 00:00:00 and date 01/01/1998.

￿Upon restart, the status interval timer starts at zero seconds.

Reset DS1 Framer

CAUTION! THE RESET DS1” COMMAND WILL MOMENTARILY DISRUPT SERVICE WHILE THE DS1 FRAMER RESYNCHRONIZES.

Purpose: Enables the operator to reset one or more DS1 framers. The command resets the DS1 receiver and may be used to test Loss of Frame recovery.

Security: Level 2 (operator)

Syntax: reset ds1 <n>
