Login with User Name Required

If there is at least one user defined, the startup will include a “Login:” message similar to the following.

Login:

To login, type your user name and press the Enter or Return key. User names are not case sensitive. In the following example, the user name is smith.

If the user name is incorrect, the “Login:” message will be repeated.

Login with No Password Required

If no password is required, the command prompt will appear immediately after entering your user name, as shown below.

Login with Password Required

When a password is required, a “Password:” message will appear as shown below. This means that you must enter your password and press the Enter or Return key. As you type the password, the CLI will display asterisks. Passwords are case sensitive, so upper and lower case letters are different.
