Provision Drop DS1 to Remote Access Bank II

NOTE: This is the T1 connection between the Access Navigator and Access Bank II.

1.Show drop DS1 settings with the following command: show ds1 <n>

Example: show ds1 10

The show command will produce a message showing the DS1 settings. For example, the message for DS1 number 10 might look similar to the following:

B8ZS

DROP

Clock Source:

NORMAL

Line Build Out:

DSX-1 EQUAL. FOR 0-133 ft.

Line Termination ID:

0 (for switch DS1s only)

FDL Type:

CAC

FDL Status:

UP

Bit Error Rate:

2.31425e-4

NOTE: In the above message the loop back test function is turned off during normal service. Line Termination IDs are used only for GR-303 switch DS1s. FDL Status does not appear if FDL Type is none. Bit Error Rate appears only if test pattern is present.

2.If drop DS1 settings are correct, skip remaining steps.

3.Set DS1 type to “drop” with the following command: set ds1 <n> type drop

Example:

set ds1 25 type drop

4.Set drop DS1 frame type to ESF with the following command: set ds1 <n> framing esf

Example:

set ds1 25 framing esf

5.Set drop DS1 line code to B8ZS with the following command: set ds1 <n> linecode b8zs

Example:

set ds1 25 linecode b8zs
