Remote Provisioning Requirements

Remote provisioning, management, and testing of a Carrier Access remote terminal requires the following software versions and interconnecting DS1 or T1 link settings.

Access Navigator Remote Provisioning Requirements

The Access Navigator communicates over the FDL using a Carrier Access FDL protocol that is compatible with the AT&T 54016 standard supported by the Access Bank II.

Access Bank II Remote Provisioning Requirements

2.21 to 2.99

To support remote provisioning, the Access Bank II family requires Controller card software version between 2.21 and 2.99. Software upgrades for versions 2.00 through 2.20 are available through the distributor or dealer from which you purchased the Access Bank II. Hardware and software upgrades are required for even older Controllers. To display the software version, connect the Access Bank II to your computer with Carrier Access Remote Monitor software, select the “Maintenance, DIP Switches” tab, and either click the “Read Current Screen from Access Bank 2” icon or click the “Read Current Screen from Unit” from the “Connection” dropdown menu.

Adit 600 TDM Remote Provisioning Requirements

The Access Navigator can transport management commands to the Adit 600 over the FDL link. This feature enables the Network Operations Center to manage the Adit 600 using Telnet and IP connections to the Access Navigator.
