Run Ground Wire to Access Navigator

1.Measure and cut enough insulated copper wire to connect from building ground to Grounding Lug on Access Navigator (see Figure 6-2).

2. Route wire from building ground to ground lug on Access Navigator.

#6 or #8 AWG

Strip only enough insulation off wire to fit inside barrel

1.Strip enough insulation off wire end to fit inside lug, flush with front of wire clamp (see Figure 6-2).

2.Route wire from building ground to ground lug on Access Navigator.

3.Bend ground wire so that wire end is positioned over ground lug terminal.

4.Remove ground lug from Access Navigator and set screws aside for later use.

5.Loosen compression screw until opening beneath wire clamp is large enough to accept ground wire.

6.Insert ground wire into lug barrel, beneath compression plate, and tighten compression screw.
