set server group Enables or disables load balancing among the RADIUS servers in a server

load-balance group.

Syntax — set server group group-nameload-balance {enable disable}

„group-name— Server group name of up to 32 characters.

„load-balance enable disable — Enables or disables load balancing of authentication requests among the servers in the group.

Defaults — Load balancing is disabled by default.

Access — Enabled.

History —Introduced in MSS Version 3.0.

Usage — You can optionally enable load balancing after assigning the server group members. If you configure load balancing, MSS sends each

AAArequest to a separate server, starting with the first one on the list and skipping unresponsive servers. If no server in the group responds, MSS moves to the next method configured with set authentication and set accounting.

In contrast, if load balancing is not configured, MSS always begins with the first server in the list and sends unfulfilled requests to each subsequent server in the group before moving on to the next configured AAA method.

Examples — To enable load balancing between the members of server group shorebirds, type the following command:
