Align Now, 20 Hz to 3.6 GHz
Immediately executes an alignment of the receiver subsystem. The receiver will stop any measurement
currently underway, perform the alignment, and then restart the measurement from the beginning
(similar to pressing the Restart key).
The query form of the remote commands (:CALibration:RFPSelector:FULL?) will invoke the alignment
of the RF Preselector on both Conducted and Radiated Band and return a success or failure value.
Successful completion will clear the “Align 20 Hz to 3.6 GHz required” Error Condition, and clear the
bit 1 and bit 2 in the Status Questionable Calibration Extended Needed register. The elapsed time
counter will begin for Last Align Now, Conducted Time and Last Align Now Radiated Time and the
temperature is captured for Last Align Now, Conducted Temperature and Last Align Now, Radiated
Temperature. The alignment can be interrupted by pressing the Cancel (ESC) front-panel key or
remotely with Device Clear followed by the :ABORt SCPI command. When this occurs, the Error
Condition “Align 20 Hz to 3.6 GHz required” is set because new alignment data may be employed for an
individual subsystem, but not a cohesive set of data for all subsystems.
Notes: :CALibration:RFPSelector:RADiated? Return 0 if successful
:CALibration:RFPSelector:RADiated? Return 1 if failed
When Align 30 MHz to 3.6 GHz is performing the alignment, bit 0 in the
Status Operation register is set. Completion, or termination, will clear bit 0 in
the Status Operation register.
This command is sequential; it must complete before further SCPI commands
are processed. Interrupting the alignment from remote is
accomplished by invoking Device Clear followed by the :ABORt
command. Successful completion will clear bit 2 in the Status Questionable
Calibration Extended Needed register and bit 1 in Status Questionable
Calibration Extended Failure register.
A failure encountered during alignment will set the Error Condition “30 MHz
to 3.6 GHz Alignment Failure” and set both bit 2 in the Status Questionable
Calibration Extended Needed register and bit 9 in Status Questionable
Calibration register.
For model N9038A only.
Dependencies: This key does not appear in other than N9038A models, setting or querying
the SCPI will generate an error.
Couplings: Initializes the time for the Last Align Radiated Now, Radiated Time.
Records the temperature for the Last Align Radiated Now, Radiated
Temperature.
Status Bits/OPC Dependencies: Bit 8 or 9 may be set in the Status Questionable Calibration register.
Bit 2 may be set in the Status Questionable Calibration Extended Needed
register.
Bit 1 may be set in the Status Questionable Calibration Extended Failure
register.
