snmp-server contact <“string”>
Use the snmp-server contact command to specify the SNMP sysContact string. Use the no form of this
command to remove a configured contact.
Syntax Description
<“string”> Populates the sysContact string using an alphanumeric string enclosed in
quotation marks (up to 32 characters in length).
Default Values
By default, the sn mp-server contact is set to Customer Service.
Applicable Platforms
This command applies to the NetVanta 300, 1000, 1000R, 2000, 3000, 4000, and 5000 and
Total Access 9 00 Series units.

Usage Examples
The following example specifies Network Administrator x4000 for the sysContact string:
(config)#snmp-server contact “Network Administrator x4000”
