clear ip dhcp-server binding [* | <ip address>]

Use the clear ip dhcp-server binding command to clear Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)

server binding entries from the database.

Syntax Description

*Clears all automatic binding entries.

<ip address> Clears a specific binding entry. Enter the source IP address (format is A.B.C.D).

This command applies to the NetVanta 300, 1000, 1000R, 2000, 3000, 4000, and 5000 and

Total Access 900 Series units.

Functional Notes

A DHCP server binding represents an association between a MAC address and an IP address that was

offer ed by the unit to a DHCP client (i.e., mo st often a PC). Clearing a b inding allows the unit to of fer that IP

Usage Examples
