update-timer <seconds>

Use the update-timer command to set the value of the RIP update interval timer. The RIP update interval
is the number of seconds which must elapse between RIP update packet transmissions. Use the no form of
this command to return to the default settings.
Syntax Description
<seconds> Specifies the number of seconds allowed to elapse between RIP update packet
transmissions. Valid range: 5 to 4294967295 seconds.
Default Values
By default, this value is set at 30 seconds.
Applicable Platforms
This command applies to the NetVanta 300, 1000R, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000 and Total Access 900 Series
units.
