spanning-tree pathcost method [short | long]
Use the spanning-tree pathcost command to select a short or long method used by the spanning-tree
protocol.
Syntax Description
short Specifies 16-bit values when calculating path costs.
long Specifies 32-bit values when calculating pathcosts.
Default Values
By default, spanning-tree pathcost is set to short.
Applicable Platforms
This command applies to the NetVanta 1000, 1000R, 3000, 4000, and 5000 Series units.
