Command Reference Guide SHDSL Interface Configuration Command Set

alarm-threshold [loop-attenuation | snr-margin] <value>

Use the alarm-threshold command to set thresholds for specific alarm conditions. Use the no form of this

command to disable threshold settings.

Syntax Description

loop-attenuation

<value>

S pecifies a loop-attenuation threshold value from 1 to 127 dB. If signal energy

loss on the loop exceeds the configured value, the router issues an alarm.

snr-margin

<value>

S pecifies a value for signal-to-noise ra tio (SNR) margin from 1 to 15 dB. If the

difference in amplitude between the baseband signal and the noise exceeds

the configured value, the router issues an al arm.

Applicable Platforms

This command applies to the NetVanta 1000R, 3000, and 4000 Series units.
