set user group

Adds a user to a user group. The user must have a password and a profile that exists in the local database on the switch.

(To configure a user in RADIUS, see the documentation for your RADIUS server.)

Syntax: set user username group group-name

username Username of a user with a password.

group-nameName of an existing user group for password users.

Defaults: None.

Access: Enabled.

Usage: MSS does not require users to belong to user groups. To create a user group, user the command set usergroup.

Examples: The following command adds user Hosni to the cardiology user group:

DWS-1008# set user Hosni group cardiology success: change accepted.

Syntax: set usergroup group-name attr attribute-name value

group-name

Name of a group for password users. Specify a name of up to 32

 

alphanumeric characters, with no spaces. The name must begin with

 

an alphabetic character.

attribute-name value

Name and value of an attribute you are using to authorize all users in

 

the group for a particular service or session characteristic.
