clear trace

Deletes running trace commands and ends trace processes.

Syntax: clear trace {trace-area | all}

trace-area Ends a particular trace process. Specify one of the following keywords to end

the traces documented in this chapter:

• authorization—Ends an authorization trace

• dot1x—Ends an 802.1X trace

• authentication—Ends an authentication trace

• sm—Ends a session manager trace all Ends all trace processes.

Defaults: None.

Access: Enabled.

Examples: To clear all trace processes, type the following command:

DWS-1008# clear trace all

success: clear trace all

To clear the session manager trace, type the following command:

DWS-1008# clear trace sm

success: clear trace sm
