Starting Global Performance Logging

Performance Manager.
Note Per forma nc e logg in g can also be star ted on a pe r modul e (G RP) or physi cal inte rface ba sis. For de tail s

If you start gl obal p erfo rmanc e log gi ng on a cha ssis, all s ubcha ssis o bject s are pl ace d in to t he
performance logging on stat e. However, performance data is only collected for GRPs and interfac es, so
any other modu l es w ill n ot col le ct perfo rm anc e d ata , de spit e havin g a s tat e of pe r forma nc e l ogg ing on.
Note Glo bal Perfo rmance Logging ca n use a lot of band width, so use discretion.
To start global performance logging for a selected chassis, proceed as follows:
Step 1 Open the Chassis Configuration wi ndow. See Viewing the Chassis Configuration Window section on
page 4-7 for further details.
Step 2 Select the relevant Chassis from the list displayed at the left of the window.
