BGP Status Window—Detailed Description

The BG P Sta tus w ind ow displays fo ur t abs : BGP-D et ails, Ne twork, N ei ghb or an d R ed istri bution.

BGP-Details

The BGP-Details tab displays two areas: BGP General and BGP Information

BGP General

Local Autonomous System—T he id of the BGP process r unnin g in the device. If the value is 0 it means

no BGP p roce ss is runni ng on t he d evice.

BGP Information

BGP Identif ier—It is t he Router Iden tif ier f or the BGP speaking router. By d efault, BGP Iden tif ier is set

to IP address of the loopback interface if it is configured otherwise it is the highest IP address configured

for a physic al inter face on that rou ter.

BGP Version—It displays the su pported BGP version.

BGP Synchronization—It displays whe ther BG P synchr onizati on w ith I GP i s ena bled or disa bled.
