Network TabDetailed Description

The Networ k tab displays a singl e area, BGP Ne twork Informa tion.

BGP Network Information

Neighbor I P A ddre ss The IP address of the peer where the path information was learnt.
Network MaskLength in bits of the IP address prefix in the Network Layer Reachability Information
field.
Network Addre ssAn IP address prefix in the Network Layer Reachability Information field. This
object is an IP address containing the prefix with the length specified by the Network Mask attribute.
Any bits beyon d t he leng t h spec ified by N etwor k Ma sk attri bute are ze roed.
Path OriginThe ultimate origin of the path information.
Border Router IP AddressThe addre ss of the bor de r rou ter tha t sho uld be used fo r th e dest inati on
network.
Best PathIndicates whether the BGP4 route is the best chosen or not.
Multiple Exit Point Discriminate MetricThis metric is used to discriminate between multiple exit
points to an adjacent autonomous number. A value of -1 indica tes the absence of this attribute.
Degree of PreferenceThe originating BGP4 speaker's degree of preference for an advertised route. A
value of -1 indicates the absence of this attribute.
Calculated Degree of PreferenceThe degree of preference calculated by the receiving BGP4 speaker
for an ad vertis e route.
Less Specific Route SelectedIndicates whether or not the local system has selected a less specific
route without selecting a more specific route.
Router A ggr egator A SThe AS number of t he last BGP4 spe aker that pe rformed route a ggregation.
When the value is zero, it indicates the absence of th is attribute.
