BGP Configuration
Step 4 Choose the chassis from the left side of the window.

BGP Modify WindowDetailed Description

The BGP Modify window displays the following:
Loca l A SThe Autonomous System number in the router.
BGP IdentifierUse d to c onfigure the R outer Ide nti fier for th e BG P sp eaki ng rout er.
Note Peering sessions are reset if the router ID is changed.
BGP SynchronizationThis is used to E na ble or D isa ble BGP sy nchro ni zati on w ith Int erior G ateway
Protocol (IGP).
BGP Auto-SummaryThis is used to Enable or Disable Automatic netw ork number summariza tion for
BGP
BGP Log Neighbor-ChangesThis is used to set logging of BGP neighbor resets. This v alue can be set
to Yes or No.
BGP Default IPV4-UnicastThis is used t o set the default as the IP versi on 4 (IPv4) unica st for BGP
peers o n th e rou t er.
BGP Default-MetricThis is used to configure the default-metric value for redistributed routes.
Note If this attribute is set to zero, then the default metric is removed from the device.

Disabling BGP on a Chassis

This sec tion des crib es th e pro cedu re to disa ble a BG P proc ess run ning in the device. To disable a BG P
process, proc eed as fol lows:
Step 1 Open the BGP Configurati on window. See Viewing the B GP Details Tab on the BGP Co nfiguration
Window section on pa ge 14-3 for further details.
Step 2 Choose the c hassis for whi ch you want t o di sabl e BG P f rom th e lef t side o f th e window.
Note You can choose multiple chassis (from the chassis list) which allo ws you to disable BGP for the
selected chassis.
Step 3 Click on the Disable button.
Note The Disable button is act ive only when ther e is BGP runni ng on the device.
