Admin Status—Displays the d esired op er ationa l st at us of th is tun ne l. Possibl e values a re u p read y t o
pass packets, down, or testing in some test mode.
Operational Status—Indic ates the a ctual ope ratio nal status of this tunnel , which is typicall y but not
limited to, a fu nc tio n of the state of individual segment s of thi s tunn el . Possi ble values ar e: up re a dy to
pass pac kets, down, testi ng in some t est mode , unknown st atu s ca nno t be det erm ined , dor mant ,
notPresent some component is missing or lowerLayerDown down due to the state of lower layer
interfaces.
Instance Uptime—This value identifies the total time that this tunnel instances operational status has
been U p.
Advanced
Setup Priority—Displays th e setu p p rior ity of thi s tunn el. Ra nge of values are 0 thr oug h 7 .
Holding Priority—Displays the holding priority for this tunnel. Range of values are 0 through 7.
Session Attributes—This bitmask indicates optional session values for this tunnel. The following
describes these bitfields:
•fastReroute—This flag indicates that the any tunnel hop may choose to rero ute this tunnel without
tearing it down. This flag permits transit routers to use a local repair mechanism which may result
in violat ion of the e xplicit routing of this tunnel. When a fault is de tected on an adja cent do wnstream
link or node, a transit router can reroute traffic for fast service restoration.
•mergingPermitted—This flag permits tran sit routers to merge this session with othe r RSVP sessions
for the pur pose of reduc ing resourc e overhead on downstream transit routers, there by providing
better network scalability.
•isPersistent—Indicates whether this tunnel should be restored automatically after a failure occurs.
•isPinned—This flag indi cat es wh ethe r t he loo se- r oute d hops of t his t unn el a re to b e pi nned.
•isComputed—This fl ag indica tes whet her the tunnel pa th is comp uted using a co nstraint -based
routing al gorit hm based on the mp lsTu nnelH opTable entries.
•recordRoute—T hi s fl ag indi cat es wh et her or n ot th e s ignal ing p rot oc ol shou ld r ememb er t he tun nel
path after it has been signaled.
Owner—Indicates wh ich p rot o col cre at ed and i s re spo nsible for ma nagi ng th is tunne l. Values r svp an d
crldp shou ld not be used at the head -end of a MPLS tunnel. Possible values are : admin repr esents all
management entities, rsvp, crldp, policyAgent, or other.
Local Pr otect In Us e—Displays that the local repai r mechanism is in use t o maintain this tunne l (usually
in the face of an outage of the link it was previously routed over).
Instance Priority—This value indicates priority (in descending order, with 0 indicating th e lowest
priorit y) within a grou p of tunnel in stances.
Role—This value signifies the role that this tunnel entry/instan ce represents. This value must be set to
head at the originating point of the tunnel. This value must be set to transit at transit points along the
tunnel, if transit points are su pported. This value must be set t o tail a t the term inating p oint of th e tunnel
if tunnel tails are supported .
