Step 3 Click Yes to delete the selected profile or click No to close the window without deleting t he profile.

When a profile is deleted it disappears from the list of existing profiles displayed in the SRP Side Profile
list at the left of the window.

The SRP Side Profile window has two tabs namely: Gene ral, and Alarm s
General Tab
The Gen eral tab displ ays four ar eas: Gene ral, SONE T Overhead , IPS SONET an d Create Profile.
General
The General area allows you to configure the following information:
Clock Source —Allows you to choos e clock sou rce from available opti ons. This ca n either be internal
(withi n the device) or l ine ( the net work c loc k).
Loopback—Al lows you to se lect the loopb ack mo de . It ind ica tes the loo pba ck m ode f or t he SR P Side
profile. The available opt ions are: disabled , inter nal or line
Framing—Allows you to sele ct sdh or so net type fra min g. It indi cat es t he f rami ng mode o f the side
profile.
IPS Manageme nt Request Mode—All ows you to sel ect t he IPS m a nagem ent r eques t mode fo r the side
profile. The available opt ions are: noR eques t, forc ed-swit ch, manu al-s witch, wa itToRestore,
signalDegrad e, and sign al Fail.
