Associating a VRF Policy with an Interface

Removi ng a V RF P ol icy from a S elec ted Inte rfa ce

It is possible to remove the VRF policies from selected interfaces, only when the interfaces are in a
manage d st ate and t hey are al rea dy associ at ed wi th th e VR F po licy.
To asso ciate a V RF pol icy with on e or more se lecte d interfa ces, pr ocee d as foll ows:
Step 1 Right clic k on the chas sis objec t and choose Configuration> Interface> MPLS> VRF Association.
See Table 16-1 on page 16-2 for information on which obje cts allo w y ou to launch the VRF Associati on
window. The VRF Association window appears, with the VRF tab displayed.
Step 2 Choose a Chassis, a nd on e or m ore Modules and Inte rf aces from the list displayed at the left of the
wind o w. F o r fu rthe r in for mat ion , see th e VRF Association Windo wDetailed Description section on
page 16-14. You can multi select interfaces and modules but only one chassis.
Note To sele ct a co ntiguo us block of in terfaces or mo dule s, clic k on the first; the n, hold down the
Shift key and click on the ent ry at the en d of the group t o be added. To add a non-conti guous
entry to the selection group, hold down the Ctrl (Control) key and click on the entry to be added.
A subseque nt click anywhere on the w indow deselect s all previous selec tions.
Step 3 Click the Remove button to remove the VRF policy from the interface. An Action Report window
appear s to i nfo rm yo u if t he VR F po licy h as fai le d to be rem oved succ essfu lly.

VRF Association WindowDetailed Description

The VR F A sso ci ati o n wi nd ow (see Figure 16-10) displays the VRF Config tab.

VRF Tab

The VRF tab displays four ar eas: Ava ilable VRF Policies, Ac tions, Associated VRF Polic y Information,
and Apply Stat us.

Available VRF Policies

The Available VRF Policies area displays the following information:
VRF PoliciesDisplays a list of available VRF policies in the selected chassis.
Actions
The Actions area displays the following information:
Apply Button Choose Apply to apply the selected VRF policies to the selected interfaces.
Re m ove Bu t t o n Choose Remove to remove the selected VRF policies from the selected interfaces.

Associated VRF Pol icy Infor mation

The Associated VRF Policy Information area displays the following information:
Applied VRF PolicyDisplays the VRF policy associated to the selected interface.
