General Label Range
The General Label Range area displays the General Label Range table. This table specifies a contiguous
range of generic labels, or a “label range” for LDP Entities. LDP Entit ies which use Generic L abels must
have at least one entry in this table. One row entry in this table contains information on a single range
of labels re present ed by the configured Uppe r and Lower Bounds pai rs.
Note There is no corresponding LDP message which relates to the information in this table, howe ver, this table
does p ro v id e a way fo r a us er to 'r eser ve' a g ener i c l ab el r an ge. The r ange s for a s p eci fic L DP E nt ity ar e
unique and non-overlapping . A row will not be created unl ess a uniqu e and non-overlappi ng range i s
specified.
General Label Range table displays the following information:
LDP Identifier—Displays the LDP identifier.
Index—Thi s index is used as a se condary index to unique ly iden tify th is row.
Associated Interface Name—This value represents the Interface Name where the Generic Label would
be created. The Value “ “ means the interface is not known.
Minimum Label Range—The minim um lab el configur ed for thi s range.
Maximum Label Range—The maximum label configured for this range.
Storage Type—Displays the st orag e type for the L DP e ntry.
