Chapter 12 Managi ng AT M Connections

ATM Connection Synchronization

Normal Policy

This set ting sp ecif i es that the C isco device is the referen ce poi nt for PVC creati ons and d eletio ns. Cis co

12000/10720 Router Manager will sync up to the device. If a connection is present on the Cisco device

but not in Cisco 12000/10720 Router Manager , it will create the connection. If a connection is absent on

the Cisco dev ice but present in Cisco 12000/10720 Router Manager, it will delete the connection.

CEMF_is_Master_After_First_Sync

This se tti ng speci fies that Cisco 12000/10720 Router Manager is the reference point for PVC cre ations

and de leti ons, a fte r the first sync hro nizat ion. The d evice syncs up to the Cisc o 1200 0/ 10720 Ro uter

Manager fo r information about PVC settings. If the conn ectio n is present in Cisco 12000/10720 Rou ter

Manager but not the Cisco device and th e state o f the VCL co nnectio n is Normal , Cisco 120 00/10720

Router Manager creates the connection in the Cisco device. If the connection is absent in Cisco

12000/10 720 Rout er M ana ger but prese nt in t he C is co device, Ci sco 120 00/1 0720 Ro uter M ana ger

deletes the connection f rom the Cisco device.
