Chapter 8 Interface Configuration SRP Interface Configuration
Configuring a SRP Interface
To configure a SRP Interface, proceed as follows:
Step 1 Launch the SRP Interface Configuration window. Refer to Table 8-2 on pa ge 8-2 fo r informa tion on
which ob jec ts al low you to la unch the SRP Inte rface Co nfigurati on w indow.
Step 2 Choose a Chassis, Module, and SRP Interface from the lists displa yed a t t he left side of the wind ow.
Step 3 Edit t he pa ram ete rs displa yed i n the SRP In terfa ce C onfigura tion wi ndow, as r eq uire d. Se e “SRP
Interfa ce C onfigur atio n Window—Detailed Description” section for fur ther details.
Step 4 Click Save to save your configurat ion chan ges.

General
Topology T imer—Allows you to configure the time (in seconds) that determines the interval for sending
the top ol ogy di scovery p ackets to the ri ng
Priority Threshold—Allows you to configure the incoming packet priority limit
Tx Traffic Rate – High—Allows you to configure the high rate limit of outgoing traffic, in megabits per
second
Tx Traffi c Ra te – Low—Allows you to c onfigure the low ra te limi t of ou tgoing t raffic, in m egabits pe r
second

only t o OC-48 S RP In terfa ces.
IPS
IPS Lock—Allows you to configure the boolean flag (true or false) to indicate n ode LockedOut of
protec tion state .
IPS Timer—Allows you to co nfigure the freq uency at which th e IPS messages a re to be displ ayed, in
seconds.
IPS Wait To Resto re Timer—Allows y ou to configure the time interval in seconds, for an interface to
remain in the wrap state, after the cause of a wrap is removed.
