DS3 Statistics

The DS3/E3 Statistics area displays the following information:
C-bit Coding Violations—Number of C- bit coding violations e ncountere d by the interfac e.
C-bit Erro red Second s—Number of C-bit errored seconds detected by the interface.
C-bit Severely Error ed Seconds —Number of time s C -bi t severely error ed sec onds det ect ed by t he
interface.
P-bit Codin g Vi olations —Numbe r of P-bit cod ing viola tions detec ted by the inte rface.
P-bit Errored Seconds—Number of P-bit errored seconds detected by the interface.
P-bit Severely Errored Seconds—Number of P-b it severely error ed seconds enc ountered by the
interface.
Unavailable Seconds—Count of the unavailable seconds encountered by interface.

E3 Performance Tab

The E3 Performance tab (see Figure 10-12 on p age 10-17) displays three areas: Current E3 Status,
Interval E3 S tatus , and Total E3 Status .

Current E3 Status

The Current E3 Status area displays the following information:
C-Severely E rrore d Framing Se conds —Nu mber of C-bi t severely err ored secon ds enco untere d by the
interface in the current 15 minute interval.
C-Line Errored Seconds—Number of line errored seconds encounte red b y the interfac e in t he curren t 15
minute interval.
C-Line Coding V iolations—Number of line coding v iolations enco untered b y the interf ace in the curr ent
15 minute interval.

Total E3 Status

The Total E3 Statistics area displays the following information:
T-Sev erely Errored Framing Seconds—Number of T-line severely errored framing seconds encountered
by the interface in the current 24 hour interval.
T-Line Errored Seconds—Number of errore d seconds encounte red by th e interfac e in the current 24 h our
interval.
T-Line Coding Violations—Number of coding violations encountered by the interface in the current 24
hour int erval.
