Creating a POS I nterface Profile
Step 4 Click Ok. The POS Profile window reap pears with th e new profile name displayed in th e POS Profile
list at left of the window.
Note Choose the Edit > Copy and Edit > Copy Page Configuration to copy an d paste
betwee n different profiles. Th is is usef ul when yo u wish to copy configur ation
inform ation fr om one pro file to the next.
Step 5 Configure the pa ra met ers di splaye d in the G ener al, SONET O verhead, Al ar m Re por ting & T hr eshol d,
and Alarm Reporting areas, as required.
Note You can ap ply an existin g profile to a new profile to save time when configuring
new prof iles. Choose Edit > Apply Prof ile and then choose the existing profile you
wish to appl y fr om the pr ofiles liste d. T he c onfigura tion s ett ings are copi ed fro m
the existing profile to the new profile. The settings copied appear in blue.
Step 6 Choose File > Save to save the parameters you have selecte d for your profile.
Step 7 Choose File > Close to close the window.

and co nfiguring the in terface.

Editing an Existing POS Interface Profile

To edit an existing POS Interface profile, proceed as follows:
Step 1 Choose the C isco 12000/ 10720 M anage r>Configuration>POS>C onfiguration Profile opt ion from a
POS interface object. See Table 7-2 on page 7-2 for information on which objects allow you to launch
the POS Profile Dialog window.
Step 2 Choose the pr ofile you wish t o ed it from the list of existing pro files displ ayed in the PO S Profile list at
the left of the window (see Figure 7-8).
Step 3 Edit t he pa ram eters displ aye d in the POS C onfig tab, as re quir ed.
Step 4 Choose File > Save to save the changes made to the service profile.
Step 5 Choose File > Close to close the window.
