SRP Performance

Outer Ring Tab

The Outer Ring tab displays three areas: Counters for last x seconds, Utilization and Data Traffic
Counters for last x seconds
Ti me E la p se dIndicates the number of seconds that have elapsed in the current interval. The Time
Elapsed value ranges between 0 to 900. When this value is 0, all the counters in the dialog are of value
0. For example, when the value of Time Elapse d is 100 sec , it means that all the co unters di splayed in
this dialog are calculated using the traffic in the last 100 seconds.
Utilization
Bandwidth UtilizationThe percentage bandwidth of the outer ring utilized in the specified time. For
exa mple , w hen the b and width u tiliz ation is 60, it means th at the o u ter ring is utilized at 6 0% on av e rage
in the last Time Elapsed seconds.
Note T o get the c orrect bandwidth utilization, please ensure that the interface bandwidth is set to the maximum
value in IOS. To achieve this, run the no bandwidth command in the interface mode in IOS CLI.
Data Traff ic
The Data Traffic area has two panes: bits/sec and Packets/sec.
The bits/sec area has the following attributes,
T ransit TrafficThe rate of traffic passing through the outer ring at this node but not meant for this node.
The displayed value is in bits/sec, traf f ic in the last Time Elapsed seconds is considered for calculation.
Node Traf ficTh e rate of traffic on the outer rin g, reached to/going from this h ost. The disp layed value
is in bits/sec, traffic in the last Time Elapsed seconds is considered for calculation.
N ode Tr ansmit Traff icThe rate of traffic on the outer ring, transmitted by this node into the ring.
Displayed value is in bits/sec, traffic in the last Time Elapsed seconds is considered for calculation.
Node Receive TrafficThe rate of tra ffic on the out er ring, re ceived by this nod e from the ring. The
displayed value is in bits/sec, traffic in the last Time Elapsed seconds is considered for calculation.
The Packets/sec area has the following attributes,
T ransit TrafficThe rate of traffic passing through the outer ring at this node but not meant for this node.
The displayed value is in Packets/sec, traffic in the last Time Elapsed seconds is considered for
calculation.
Node Traf ficTh e rate of traffic on the outer rin g, reached to/going from this h ost. The disp layed value
is in Packets/sec, traffic in the last Time Elapsed seconds is co nsidered for calculation.
Nod e Transmit Traff icThe rate of traffic on the outer ring, transmitted by this node into the ring. The
displayed value is in Packets/sec, traffic in the last Time Elapsed seconds is considered for calculation.
Node Receive TrafficThe rate of tra ffic on the out er ring, re ceived by this nod e from the ring. The
displayed value is in Packets/sec, traffic in the last Time Elapsed seconds is considered for calculation.
