SysLog Messa ges Area

The Sys Log Messages area displays the following information:
IndexArbitrary integer value to uniquely identify the listed messages. When it reaches the maximum
value the agent flushes the area and wraps the value back to 1.
FacilityName of the facility that generated the facility message.
SeverityDisplays the severity of the message.
Message NameTextual identification for the message type. A facility name in conjunction with a
message nam e uniquely identifies a message type.
Message TextDisplays the text of the messag e. W hen the text of the me ssage exceeds 255 bytes, the
message i s trunca ted to 254 bytes and a '*' cha rac ter i s app en ded, indi cati ng that the me ssag e ha s b een
truncated.
Ti me S ta mpDisplays t he tim e t he sy stem has bee n runni ng ( wh en t he m essag e was gene rat ed).

Sys Log Message Details

The Sys Log Message Details area displays the following information:
Messages Not Re cordedD isplays the nu mber of syslog messag es that were igno red.
Messages Not Pro cessedDi splays the num be r of me ssages whi ch c ou ld n ot b e pro cesse d due t o l ack
of system resou rces.
Messages De lete d From TableNu mber of e ntrie s th at h ave been r emoved to make ro om for n ew
entries.
Notifications SentDisplay s the number of not ifications sent.
Maximum Table EntriesDispla ys the uppe r limit on t he number of entrie s that the ar ea can co ntain .
Mini mum Sys Log Se ve rityAny message with a se verity less th an this one will be ignore d by the agent.
This field can be set to emergency, alert, critical, error, warning, notice, info, or debug.
Notifications EnabledDisplays whet her notificatio ns are en abled or not enabl ed.
