The Cisco 12000/10720 Router Manager application is vie wed through the Cisco Element Management
Framework (Cisco EMF). It is important to understand how Cisco EMF works before you use the Cisco
12000/10 720 Route r Manage r applica tion (re fer to the Ci sco Element M anagement Framework Us er
Guide for further de tail s). Cisco 120 00/10 720 Ro uter M ana ger a uto ma tica lly st art s whe n you start a
Cisco EMF user session.
Note Each active Cisco EMF session uses a single Cisco EMF user license.

Step 1 From the command line on the terminal window, enter <CEMF_ROOT>/b in/ cemf s essi on
Note <CEMF_ROOT> is the Ci sco EM F inst alla ti on root dir ect ory (for exa mple ,
/opt/CEMF).
