Note Cisco EMF contains a utility called historyAdmin. HistoryAdmin enables you to selectively export
perform an ce d ata f or gr oups i n an aut omate d manne r. Refer to t he Ci sco El ement Ma nagement

Exporting A Performance File

Performance data can be exported for use in other applications. To export performance data, follo w these
steps:
Step 1 Open the Per formanc e Manag er and view the perfor mance stat istics yo u want to export.
Step 2 Choose File > Export to File or clic k Save A s on the Toolbar.
Step 3 The File Chooser window appears. The left hand panel displays the directories and the right hand panel
displays the f iles. Use the scroll bars to locate the desired f ile . Click Filter to expand the list of options.
Step 4 Choose the file. The full path name of the selected file is displayed in the File Filter box, as well as the
Choice box.
Note You ca n save the dat a t o a new loc ati on or t o a new file. Type i n the new name s as re qu ired in
the Ch oice boxes.
Step 5 Click Apply to save the file or Cancel to retu rn to the Per formanc e Manag er wind ow.

Performance Manager WindowDetailed Description

The Per fo rma nce Ma nag er w ind ow displays th ree are as : M onitor ed At tributes, Time Period , and
Summary. The Pe rform ance Manager wind ow also displays th ree tabs : Line Chart, and Tab le Displa y.

Monitored Attributes

The monitored att ribut es list at the left of the win dow allo ws you t o select the specif ic attrib ute you wish
to view performance information for . The fields in this list change, depending upon the type of interface
that yo u l aunc hed Per fo rmanc e Ma nag er f rom . For exam ple, if yo ur sele ct ed int erfac e i s was an ATM
line car d, you will be able to select all the perfor mance fields that can be found on the following
perform ance wind ows: SONET Performa nce, and G eneric Per formanc e. Both of the se techn ologies
apply to ATM line cards, therefore all performance information for both tech nologies is listed in the
Performance Manager. This list is extensive.
