Performing Pre-deployment
Say that y ou are expecti ng the fol lowing hardware:
•Cisco 12016 cha ssis and GRP( s)
•ATM and POS line cards (with respective interfaces)
To perfo rm bo th m anu al pr e- de ployme nt a nd offline c onfiguratio n, pr ocee d as follows:
Step 1 Manually deploy a site object. See “Manua lly De ployin g a Ge neri c Si te Obj ect ” sec tio n on pa ge 3- 10
for further details.
Step 2 Manuall y deploy the Cisco 1200 0 Series Rou t er chassis unde r a site. See “Manually Deploying a Cisco
12000/10 720 Chass is” sec tion on page 3- 20 fo r furt he r det ai ls.
Step 3 Manuall y de ploy G RP(s). See “M anuall y Deploying a GRP Card” section on page 3-31 for further
details.
Step 4 Manually deploy the ATM line cards. ATM interfaces are deployed simultaneously. See “Manually
Deploying Lin e Ca rd s” sect ion on page 3 -38 for furt her detai ls.
Step 5 Manuall y deploy the POS line car ds. POS interfac es are deployed simul taneousl y. See “Ma nual ly
Deploying Lin e Ca rd s” sect ion on page 3 -38 for furt her detai ls.
Now you have pre-de ployed and thus c reate d r epre sent ative objects i n Ci sco 1 200 0/107 20 Rou ter
Manager fo r your expec ted hard ware, modu les, and inte rfaces. All of these obj ects will be in the
Decommissioned state.
