ATM Sub-Interface Config Command Set

 

 

oam retry <up-count> <down-count> <retry-frequency>

Use the oam rety command to configure parameters related to Operation, Administration, and Maintenance (OAM) management for an ATM interface. Use the no form of this command to disable OAM management parameters.

Syntax Description>

<up -count>

Specifies the number of consecutive end-to-end F5 OAM loopback cell responses

 

that must be received in order to change a PVC connection state to up. The range

 

is from 1 to 255.

<down -count>

Specifies Number of consecutive end-to-end F5 OAM loopback cell responses

 

that are not received in order to change a PVC state to down. The range is from 1

 

to 255.

<retry-frequency>

Specifies the the frequency (in seconds) that end-to-end F5 OAM loopback cells

 

are transmitted when a change in the up/down state of a PVC is being verified.

 

The range is from 1 to 600.

Default Values

By default, the up-count is set at 3, the down-count is set to 5, and the retry-frequency is 1.

Command Modes

(config-atm 1.1)# ATM Sub-Interface Configuration Mode required

Usage Examples

The following example configures the OAM parameters with an up-count of 2, down-count of 2, and retry-frequency of 10:

(config)#interface atm 1.1 (config-atm 1.1)#oam retry 2 2 10
