BGP Neighbor Configuration Command Set

 

 

advertisement-interval <seconds>

Use the advertisement-intervalcommand to configure the Secure Router OS to specify how long the BGP process waits before sending updates to the neighbor.

Syntax Description

<seconds>

Specifies the advertisement interval in seconds. Range: 0 to 600.

Default Values

By default, the advertisement interval is 30 seconds for external neighbors and 5 seconds for internal neighbors.

Command Modes

(config-bgp-neighbor)# BGP Neighbor Configuration Mode

Functional Notes

This command sets the minimum interval between sending updates to the specified neighbor.

Usage Examples

The following example configures the BGP process to wait at least 100 seconds before sending updates to the neighbor:

(config-bgp-neighbor)#advertisement-interval 100
