Router (OSPF) Configuration Command Set

summary-address<address> <mask prefix mask> not-advertise

Use this command to control address summarization of routes that are redistributed into OSPF from other sources (e.g., RIP-to-OSPF, static-to-OSPF, etc.). The not-advertiseoption causes suppression of routes that match the specified mask/prefix mask pair.

Syntax Description

<address>

IP address or Prefix A.B.C.D.

<mask prefix mask>

Routes matching this mask/prefix mask pair will be suppressed if the

 

not-advertisecommand is enabled.

not advertise

Optional. Causes suppression of routes that match the specified mask/prefix

 

mask pair.

Default Values

By default, this command is disabled.

Usage Examples

The following example suppresses advertisement of the routes which match the specified address/mask:

(config)#router ospf

(config-ospf)#summary-address 11.0.0.0 255.0.0.0 not-advertise
