PPP Interface Configuration Command Set

 

 

peer default ip address <address>

Use the peer default ip address command to specify the default IP address of the remote end of this interface.

Syntax Description

<address>

Specifies the default IP address for the remote end (A.B.C.D).

Default Values

By default, there is no assigned peer default IP address.

Command Modes

(config-ppp 1)#

PPP Interface Configuration Mode required

Functional Notes

This command is useful if the peer does not send the IP address option during PPP negotiations.

Usage Examples

The following example sets the default peer IP address to 192.22.71.50:

(config)#interface ppp 1

(config-ppp 1)#peer default ip address 192.22.71.50
