Tunnel Configuration Command Set

 

 

ip ospf authentication [message-digest null]

Use the ip ospf authentication command to authenticate an interface that is performing OSPF authentication.

Syntax Description

message-digest

Optional. Selects message-digest authentication type.

null

Optional. Specifies that no authentication is used.

Default Values

By default, this is set to null (meaning no authentication is used).

Command Modes

(config-interface)#

Interface Configuration Mode

 

Valid interfaces include: Ethernet (eth 0/1), PPP virtual interfaces (ppp 1), HDLC

 

virtual interfaces (hdlc 1), Frame Relay virtual sub-interfaces (fr 1.20), tunnel

 

interfaces (tunnel 1), and VLAN interface (vlan 1).

Usage Examples

The following example specifies that no authentication will be used on the tunnel interface:

(config)#interface tunnel 1 (config-tunnel 1)#ip ospf authentication null
