SROS Command Line Interface Reference Guide Ethernet Interface Configuration Command Set

speed [10 100 auto]

Use the speed command to configure the speed of an Ethernet interface. Use the no form of this command to return to the default value.

Syntax Description

10	10 Mb Ethernet
100	100 Mb Ethernet
auto	Automatically detects 10 or 100 Mb Ethernet and negotiates the duplex setting

Note	If the speed is manually set to 10 or 100, the duplex must be manually configured as
	full-duplex or half-duplex.

The following example configures the Ethernet port for 100 Mb operation:

(config)#interface ethernet 0/1 (config-eth 0/1)#speed 100
