Only 2-wire Italtel Digital Telephone Models 1 and 2 (IDT1/2) or DAs can b e
directly connecte d to a TN2136. Lucent DCP (4-wire) digital voic e terminals and
data modules can b e connected to these c ircuit packs via Italtel’s 2/4-wire
adapter. DAs can op erate in either of two modes which are covered by different
maintenance objects:
Digital Line maintenance interac ts with Digital Line circuit pac k (DIG-BD)
maintenance, and results of DIG-LINE testing can b e affected by the health of the
Digital Line circuit p ack. Keep this in mind when investi gating reported Dig ital
Line problems.
