Output
The following example shows the output for the test ds1-loop 1c07 command,
and assumes that the board in cab inet 1, carrier c, slot 7 is a TN767E DS1 board.
The responses display on a test-b y-test basis with one line of data f or each test
result.
Field descriptions
test eda-external-device-alrm
This command performs a hard ware diagnostic t est on all or specific p ort’s
admi niste red e xter nal d evic e ala rms. The te st PASSES if t he ext erna l dev ice

is

not
reporting an external device alarm and FAILS if the external device

is

reporting an external d evice alarm. If you are entering a specific p ort, it must
already be administered as an external device alarm p ort on a maintenance or
an analog line port car rier board.
Port Port address (cabinet- carrier-slot-circuit)
Maintenance
Name The name of maintenance object
Alt. Name The alternate means of identifying the maintenanc e object.
Test No The test being executed
Result Test result: Pass, Abort, Fail, No Board, Disabled, or Extra Bd
Error Code Numeric code explaining why the release failed or aborted. Refer
to the detailed list of the cod es by test number for eac h MO.
