e. The circuit pack is ad ministered but not physic ally installed. The alarm will
clear when a circuit p ack is inserted.
f. The circuit pack has b een removed or has been insane for more than 21
minutes. To clear the error, reinsert or replace the AUDIX circuit pac k (see
caution at the beginnin g of this section).
g. Something is interfering with transm itting to the voice port. This is usually
an on-board problem a nd can be ignored if no user complaints are
received .
h. AUDIX is not available to the switch, possib ly due to a busyout on the
AUDIX system. Check out the AUDIX system referring
DEFINITY AUDIX System Maintenance
, 585-300-110, if necessary.
i. An in-line maintenance error has generated an off-board warning due to
some problem with the link to the voic e port. This can be ig nored if no user
complaints are received . If the problem persists, rep lace the circuit pa ck
(see caution at the beginni ng of this section). Once the p roblem is
resolved, the alarm is retired after a ce rtain period of time.
j. The link between the circuit pac k and the voice por t is successfully reset.
No craft action is necessar y.
k. No voice ports are connec ted to the DEFINITY AUDIX circuit pack. No
maintenance action is required .
l. The message buffer in the circuit p ack is full.
System Technician-Demanded Tests: Descriptions

Always investigate tests in the order p resented in the table below whe n you are
inspecting errors in the sy stem. By clearing error cod es associated with the
Voice and Control Channel Local Loop Around Test
for example, you may also
clear errors generated from other tests in the testing sequence.
NO-OP Tests
The maintenance strategy for DEFINITY AUDIX emulates the one for DIG-LINE.
The tests listed below apply onl y to DIG-LINE and not to DEFINITY AUDIX. These
are referred to as
NO-OP
tests, and they always return PASS.
