Emergency Transfer (SCC Cabinets)

The system provides the ability to c ut designated analog phones through to CO
trunks if the switch cannot p rovide even minimal phone servic e. This ability is
known as Emergency Transfer. The EMG-XFER MO tracks the control of
Emergency Transfer. There is one EMG-XFER MO for the port network.
Emergency Transfer can be controlled b y the system or can be manuall y
controlled via the Emergency Transfer switch loc ated on the Processor circuit
pack. A manual ON posi tion (up) generates a Major alarm. A manual OFF
position (down) generates a Warning alarm. Unless a technician is c urrently
working on the system, the switch should be left in the auto position.
