Preventive Maintenance Procedures
The following preventive maintenance p rocedures should be followed and
logged when visiting customer sites:

Preventive Maintenance Log

The sample below shows the DEFINITY Preventive Maintenance Log. Whenever
you complete any of the preventi ve maintenance proced ures described in this
section, be sure to fill in the requested information on the log form b efore leaving
the customer’s premises.

Air Filters

Air filters should be inspec ted annually. If a filter is dirty or clog ged, first tap it on
the ground. If the filter is still dirt y or clogged, then wash it wi th warm water and a
mild detergent. A vac uum cleaner can be used if one is available. If there is no
facility for washing or vacuu ming the air filter, then replace the filter (Comcode
407745009). Refer to ‘‘Fan and Filter Removal/Replacement’’ below for more
information on air filters and fans.

Fan and Filter Removal/Replacement

1. Remove the left door.
2. Remove the fan/filter access panel. See Figure 1-3.
