Memory Checksum Test (#884)
This test involves sending a message to the Packet Interface to run private
non-destructive memory c hecksum tests on the firmware text residing i n Boot
PROM and FLASH memory. If the test fails during background testing , the Packet
Interface will remain operational until a reset p acket-interface is exec uted. Then
the initialization firmware will fail and will p ut the packet interface in a n
out-of-service state. This test causes the entire I/O-Processor memor y to be
tested. The I/O Processor does not supp ort its own Flash Memory Checksum
test.
