Memory Card Directory Recovery Test (#699)
This test is a nondestructive test. All memory c ards, except the memory c ard for
system software upgrade, have t wo copies of both d irectory files and translation
files to ensure that there is at least a good translation fil e in the memory card at
any time, especially durin g the "save translation" operation.
If one of the two directory files (for ex ample, the directory file) is missing or
broken (for example, the direc tory file has a bad c hecksum), maintenance can
build the directo ry file. The Memory Card Directory Recovery Test
Verifies the integrity of both active and b ackup directory files in a memory
card, and
Requests a rebuilding of the d irectory file if the file is missing or c orrupted.
