Hardware Error Log Entries and Test to Clear
Valu es
Notes:
a. There are two possible alarm levels for this error typ e: major alarm and
minor alarm. A major alarm is raised if the tota l number of call classifier
ports currently in-servic e is less than or equal to 1/2 of the administered
threshold number. Otherwise, a minor alar m is raised. In either case, run
the short test sequence ag ainst the port and follow the error code
procedures for the ind ividual tests.
The threshold number of call cl assifier ports for service is administered
using the change system-parameters maintenance command.
b. The call classifier port lost its translation. Testing the call classifier port is
sufficient to reload its translation. If testing the call classifier port does not
clear the error, then the call classifier c ircuit pack containing the d efective
call classifier port s hould be replaced.
c. This error indicates the call c lassifier port is having prob lems detecting
system tones (DTMF, etc.) or detecting and generating necessary R2-MFC
tones. This error should accomp any some percentage of failed c alls. If this
error type is persistently logg ed, then the call classifier c ircuit pack
containing the defec tive call classifier port should be replaced.
