updated until the next hourly p oll, or a clear measurements security-violations
command is entered. Onc e a non-super-user has chang ed the password, the
user must wait 24 hours to change the p assword again.
Security is enhanced by p roviding a logoff notific ation screen to a system
administrator at log off while either the fac ility test call or remote access features
are still administered. The administrator c an be required to ac knowledge the
notification before comp leting the logoff proc ess. Logoff notification is
administered on the Login Ad ministration screen.
Software releases are delivered to the customer with one c ustomer “super-user”
login/password d efined. The customer is required to a dminister additional
login/passwords as needed. The super-user login has full customer permissions
and can customize any login created.
Login permissions for a sp ecified login can be set by the super-user to b lock any
object that may comp romise switch security. Up to 40 admin istration or
maintenance objects c ommands can be blocked for a sp ecified login in.
System-wide commands are group ed into three command c ategories. Each of
the three command categ ories has a group of command subcategories li sted
under them, and each c ommand subcateg ory has a list of command o bjects that
the commands acts on. A super-user can set a users per missions to restrict or
block acce ss to any command in these ca tegories. These categories are
displayed on the Command Permissions Categories form.The three main
