reset system
This command resets the system beginni ng with the correspond ing vector bit
set, a core dump is written to memor y card, only if the memory c ard is the special
core dump card ), the vector is cleared, and the requested restart is p erformed.
NOTE:
All successful reset system comma nds log users off.
Feature Interactions
The reset command invokes system initialization like low-level
maintenance. Software never escalates requested reset levels;
technicians determine t he levels.
Two hardware switches are associated with active SPEs. These hardware
switches override demand maintenance activities req uested by system
technicians.
reset translation-id
This command resets the translation-ID on the translation c ard(s) to match the
processor(s), saves translations to t he memory card, and restores use of the add,
change, remove, and duplicate commands.
NOTE:
This command can be executed only by Luc ent Services.
