This command generates a log listing of the most recently c ompleted “d ata
affecting” admi nistration and maintenance c ommands. Data commands are
those administration and maintenanc e commands that chang e the data state
associated with any objec t and qualifier in the system. Administration data
commands affect translation d ata, while maintenance data c ommands affect
state information. For example, change station is a data command, wh ereas
display station is not.
All information in the transaction log is saved on tape as translation d ata when
the save translation command is p erformed (LIFO order). When the switch
COLD I starts or reboots, the saved translation, and thus the transaction log, i s
loaded from tape. In this way, the translation data and the data in the transaction
log remain compatib le.
