Reset Test (#889)
The reset action initializes the Packet Interface and causes the Packet Interface

FAIL
(cont’d.)
If error code 512 or 768 is rep orted for a Packet Interface, the rec eive
FIFO in the Packet Interface has overflowed. This may be an
indication that add itional Packet Interface capa city is required. For
the current hardware confi guration, only two Packet Interfaces are
provided, so the p roblem should be esc alated if the following rep air
steps do not correc t the problem:
1. Retry the command after a one minute d elay, and if the test
continues to fail, replace the TN798 Processor c ircuit pack at a
time that would cause the least servic e disruption.
PASS The system software is able to communicate with the Packet Interface. If
problems are still reported on the Packet Interface, check for failures using
the Private Looparound test (#885) and Maintenance Looparound test
(#886).
